New year, new books!
After finishing the best book series in the history of books ever for the 5th? time (Harry Potter of course) I thought it was about time I acquired some brand-spanking-new reads to add to my non-existent shelf (I have to store my books in a draw under my bed). The majority of these books have been sitting in my TBR (to be read) list for quite some time so when they arrived at my door I couldn't help but dive right in, meaning I may have already completed 6 of them... But hey, doesn't that just show what great picks they were!

Hello hello, welcome back! Today I am sharing 2 quick, cheap and easy DIYs that I put up in my bedroom (but they could be used anywhere really) a couple of weeks ago. I was inspired by the the upcoming spring season and wanted to get my start to 2018 much more colourful and happy :) So, naturally I hopped on over to Pinterest and Tumblr to look at some d r e a m interiors of mine and the same day drove to HobbyCraft to grab some supplies.

Many a time I have mentioned how recently (within the past year) reading has once again become a huge part of my everyday life, whereas before 2017 begun it unfortunately took a bit of a back seat in my priorities. Well, as I very much want this habit to continue developing I thought I'd aid myself by making sure I always have a new novel to hand, and what better way to do that than have one automatically delivered to me every month?!

2017 was my year for reading. Don't get me wrong, I plan for every year from now on to be the same, it's just that last year I really fell back in love with it. I think I've mentioned before, but I had an extremely long dry spell where I did not pick up a book unless I was on a beach. This lasted for a good 5 years (at least).

Snow makes everything pretty. An iridescent blanket covers all dark and tattered details, leaving a soft glow to our surroundings. The atmosphere transforms; everything becomes muffled and somewhat slower than before, as if we were in a snow globe winter wonderland.

We made it! Our last stop of he Japan tour: Kyoto! Being the old capital of the country before the emperor moved to Tokyo, Kyoto is just as bustling and busy but with both rural looking areas and built up city blocks. With just over 3 days to explore it all, every minute was packed full of activities, barely giving us time to sleep!

Tokyo ended too soon, however the longing to stay was put aside knowing we were on to the next new and exciting place. Nikko, a small rural village about 2 hours outside of the capital, was waiting to impress with its stunning views and fresh country air.

Just over 2 weeks ago (how has time gone that fast?!) my dad, sisters and I went on a family trip across the world to Japan for a 10 day express tour. It was by far one of the best holidays I've ever been on and have now fallen in love with the city of Tokyo.

Excitement doesn't even begin to cover all of the emotions I felt when this beautiful box arrived on my doorstep! As soon as I opened the front door the aroma filled my nose immediately and I was transported to a Lush shop, one of my favourite places on Earth. Ok maybe a bit dramatic but seriously, I love Lush.
