Snow makes everything pretty. An iridescent blanket covers all dark and tattered details, leaving a soft glow to our surroundings. The atmosphere transforms; everything becomes muffled and somewhat slower than before, as if we were in a snow globe winter wonderland.

72 Hours In Kyoto, Japan

We made it! Our last stop of he Japan tour: Kyoto! Being the old capital of the country before the emperor moved to Tokyo, Kyoto is just as bustling and busy but with both rural looking areas and built up city blocks. With just over 3 days to explore it all, every minute was packed full of activities, barely giving us time to sleep! 

48 Hours In Nikko, Japan

Day 1

Tokyo ended too soon, however the longing to stay was put aside knowing we were on to the next new and exciting place. Nikko, a small rural village about 2 hours outside of the capital, was waiting to impress with its stunning views and fresh country air.

72 Hours In Tokyo, Japan

Just over 2 weeks ago (how has time gone that fast?!) my dad, sisters and I went on a family trip across the world to Japan for a 10 day express tour. It was by far one of the best holidays I've ever been on and have now fallen in love with the city of Tokyo.

Lush Halloween Haul!

Excitement doesn't even begin to cover all of the emotions I felt when this beautiful box arrived on my doorstep! As soon as I opened the front door the aroma filled my nose immediately and I was transported to a Lush shop, one of my favourite places on Earth. Ok maybe a bit dramatic but seriously, I love Lush. 

Travel Tips - Packing For Japan!

Konnichiwa! Or should I say sayonara since in just 2 days I'm off to the land of sushi and blossoms? My dad, sisters and I are taking a trip to Japan for an express tour through Tokyo, Nikko and Kyoto, places I've only ever dreamed of going. I couldn't be more excited! Lists have been written, blog posts planned and film bought for my camera (lots of it!) and I can't wait to share it all when our journey is done.

The countdown begins! With only 7 days left until Halloween I decided it was now acceptable to fill my bedroom with all things pumpkin (I would fill the house but my sisters aren't too keen, boo). So I bought myself a collection of decorations from various shops that I want to share with you to show you don't have to spend a crap tonne to get in the spirit!

Redecorating My Bedroom!

Since about the age of 10, my bedroom has seen every colour of the rainbow on its walls and many different arrangements of furniture. Being the smallest room in our home, it's very easy to revamp every now and again due to the minimal cost and effort which is great for me as I tend to get quite bored with my surroundings and am proactive enough to do something about it.

My Top 10 Netflix Shows for Autumn

Just like everyone else after a long day at work or school, I love to have a night in curled up on the sofa with some yummy snacks and a good show on the TV. Particularly at this time of year when the skies begin to darken at 3pm, getting cosy and relaxing in the evening is the perfect way to complete a day. Netflix has been my go-to with the exception of Dr Foster and The Great British Bake Off, so I thought I'd share my faves/new finds that I believe are a must watch for Autumn.

Skincare has never really been a top priority of mine, even when I went through that super spotty faze in my early teen years. I've always been the type of girl to spend as little time, effort and money as possible on my skin simply because I'm lazy and prefer to spend on clothes and food... 

Autumnal Makeup Look

Dark lips and burgundy eyes are the tell-tale sign of Autumn in my book. When the days begin to get shorter and the air more frosty, I seem to sway towards the warmer colours, I guess subconsciously trying to stop my face from freezing in the harsh winds!
